Shobdon Run 2009

The lunch trip to Shobdon airfield was so much enjoyed last year that we used the Souther Climes route prepared by Colin Barratt with a small change to miss out a very narrow stretch which was too well populated by tractors. Again, we were blessed with super weather and with fairly clear roads had a delightful drive through some beautiful country. The airfield cafe provided excellent value lunches and there were plenty of aeroplanes to watch come and go. Some of us followed the "official" return route whilst others had visits of their own to make. A most successful day.
