A perfect day dawned and we set off from M54 services. Unfortunately there were two cars unable to join us due to mechanical problems and we were a relatively small group but we were pleased to welcome Caroline and Alberto de Portas in their lovely red Alpha Romeo Giuletta. There was a surprising amount of traffic on the motorway but we reached The Heritage Motor Centre in good time .
It was a fairly long drive on boring motorway (not what you normally plan for a Drive It day) but the museum was well worth the effort. There is no chance of doing it justice in a few words but I have singled out the Austiin 16 and MG J2, both of which we owned in days of yore and live high in our memories.
