ShACC Camp 2010

Due to clashing with the Festival of Speed, people’s family commitments or having to work, the camp was reduced to just four of us – but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The weather was dull but dry for our run across Wales, which included the exciting road between Vyrnwy and Bala. The sun came through for setting up camp after which it was a trip to the beach where Ian magically conjured up an ice cream van. Then, afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream on offer before a couple of hours at the delightful Murmur-Yr-Afon camp site and finishing the day with an excellent dinner at the hotel next door. It poured with rain overnight but after breakfast at the hotel we packed in the dry and were able to make the run home with the hoods down.
