Breakfast Club at Cosford April 08

The morning was a bit damp but we decided to get the seven out anyway, we had to be at the services on the M54 for 9 o’clock (early for a Sunday). We arrived to find a few club members already there. It seemed that this is a popular meeting place as there was a gaggle of new mini’s and a group of Japanese sport cars all meeting to convoy to Cosford.

We set of at 9 o’clock following Yoland and Roger.   When we arrived I was amazed at how many cars were already there, everything from Subaru’s to TVR’s.   We were shown were to park, and we had no sooner parked and Roger was off, “Come on”, he said, “ I need breakfast”. It turned out to be a good move because at £3 for a bacon roll and a cup of coffee the queue grew quickly. We were only half way through our bacon roll and Roger was contemplating queuing again - he was still hungry!

After breakfast the sun came out so we wandered around looking at the cars which had turned up, the organisers said 250, but they were still arriving an hour and a half later!  We were all surprised to see 10 Deloreans turn up in convoy; one of them was a replica of the Back to the Future car.

If you get the chance I would definitely recommend a trip to this meeting; for more info there is a web site www.midlandsbreakfastclub.co.uk and the next meeting is the 25th of May.
