The UK Club was formed as a focus for the small number of
Birkin owners in the UK. If you own a Birkin and have not registered
with the club we would love to hear from you. It is completely informal
and there are no membership fees and no committee. birkin@eleventowns.org.uk
As there are only a few owners spread over the country, regular
meetings are not feasible. However, we do have a club pitch at the
Stoneleigh kit car show which we share with the Shropshire Alternative
Car Club and the Bertini Owners. Members are also welcome to sign up for the ShACC monthly
newsletter.
Birkin cars were manufactured in South Africa but the company Birkin
Performance Cars is no longer operational. They briefly had a presence
in the UK and later there were attempts to establish agents.
Kitcardirect (www.kitcardirect.co.uk) have had Birkin spares. Sales of
cars to the USA and Canada were through Birkin Direct USA and their website
is still live, but have not investigated whether they are still active.
There was also a thriving on-line community on Yahoo but in 2020 Yahoo
pulled the plug on their groups. Some members of the group joined the
USA7s forum or Ozclubbies.
