The ShACC annual Christmas/New Year run attracted a load of rain which detracted a bit from the drive. However, those not going directly to the lunch venue gathered at Battlefield and followed a route up to Ellesmere and via some back roads, where we encountered a lot of standing water, to Wem, and then to the Fox and Hounds in Shawbury. There were two hefty 4-wheel drive vehicles in the party that could have rescued anyone stuck
